"Stanley W. Lowe"
"Necrological Research."Grave Dowsing and Locating
Stan made a discovery in April of 2007. Read about it by clicking here.
Stan's first experience in a cemetery was in Kentucky when his cousin Shirley (Willis) Noel taught him how to "chalk" grave stones so the name could be more easily read.
Since that time, Stan has learned how to gravedowse, restore some gravestones and done an enormous amount of locating and documenting cemeteries in Illinois. The older man in the pictures is his Uncle Irwin Correll. Irwin was the caretaker of Pleasant Plains cemetery in Sangamon County, IL for years and years and only just retired this past year in 2006. He's in his 80's and at first thought the grave dowsing that Stan was talking about was silly. However, when he met Stan out at the Pleasant Plains cemetery and put him to the test, he soon became a believer. Irwin knew where some unmarked graves were located and without telling Stan what he was walking over, placed him in a position to walk over these unmarked graves. The grave dowsing rods indicated there was a grave there. Irwin tried it himself, and soon bought some rods of his own which he used a number of times.
